After nearly three and a half years of courtship, a medical student filed a complaint alleging that Abishek Porel, 23, had sex on the promise of marriage, prompting his arrest in August 2026. Porel has denied all of the claims, and the legal proceedings are ongoing. According to the CAB, a player is still eligible for selection if there is no record of a conviction.
